Arrival and departure times Accommodation is available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival. We ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10.00am on your day of departure. This window allows the property to be cleaned and prepared properly. Late arrivals If you expect to arrive after 6.00pm please contact us to arrange key uplift. Non-arrival Unless previously notified, accommodation unclaimed by 10.00am on the day following your holiday start date will be treated as a cancelled booking.
Self-Catering Linen is provided with all holiday bookings. It is expected that families prefer to provide their own Cot Linen for young babies. Towels, cooking items, crockery and cutlery are provided.
If you have any special requests regarding your holiday accommodation please advise us when making your booking and confirm your request in writing. Please include a telephone number in case of any query. We will endeavour to meet your requests.
Your total holiday cost The price shown on the website or quoted by telephone at time of booking is guaranteed for the holiday dates and accommodation you choose.
Guest Numbers – Occupancy numbers at time of arrival should not differ from that indicated on original booking. Increased numbers may incur further charges.
Deposit payments The deposit of 25% is a non-refundable booking fee covering the Cost of Holding the property free for the intended booking date.
Dangerous substances/items You may not bring any, firearm, air weapon, fireworks (inc. sparklers), live flames, illegal substances or similar items to the House under any circumstances.
Property and environment Please treat all property and facilities carefully and appropriately.
Smoking Policy. We do not allow smoking in the accommodation
Lost property If property is left behind in your accommodation, we will do everything we can to return the item, however we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
Conditions of booking
The Holiday Contract A contract between you and Colam Cottage is made when either of the following booking conditions are met:
Cancellations of Booking:
Cancellations should be notified as soon as possible. This should be done by phone or e-mail. Cancellation will not take effect until written confirmation is received by mail or e-mail from the person who made the original booking. This is required within 7 Days to complete the cancellation. At peak times, it may be possible to re-let the property. We will do our best to relet and if this is possible only the initial deposit will be forfeit.
Cancellation charges as of received total holiday cost:
To minimise any cost or the inconvenience in the event you have to cancel your holiday at Collam Cottage we would advise you to take out holiday insurance.
Limitation of Liability We accept responsibility for those arrangements of your holiday which are within our control, cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you or any other member of your party, unless one of the following applies:
Vehicles / Personal property.
Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at owner risk
The property will be cleaned to a high standard prior to your entry. We would request that you respect the following guests and leave the property in a reasonably clean and tidy condition on departure. Dishes should be cleaned and waste removed. Any damages must be reported prior to departure. Property left in an overly dirty or inappropriate manner may result in an additional cleaning surcharge.
Adverse Travel Conditions: Travel to the island can occasionally be disrupted due to bad weather. Where there are ferry/plane disruptions due to weather conditions, technical fault/breakdown or any form of industrial action, the owners of Colam** cannot be held responsible for non-arrival and no refunds will be given. We are sorry we cannot accept pets.
Restriction on rental
The owners of Collam Cottage reserve the right to remove person(s) from the property during the booking period should we become aware of unreasonable behaviour, wilful or excessive property damage or refusal to vacate the property at the conclusion of the agreed booking timeframe. Should this unlikely scenario occur, a refund is at the discretion of the owners.
